Just as the parish offertory collection at St. John’s is the lifeblood of our parish, the 2010 Catholic Ministries Appeal is the lifeblood of our regional ministries.  Just as your help is critical to keep our parish going strong, the health of six regional ministries depends upon your gifts to the 2010 Catholic Ministries Appeal (CMA).

 

The 2010 CMA is a once-a-year effort that asks every Catholic household in all 218 parishes to join together to support the work of the local Church of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.  These good works extend well beyond our parish boundaries, as well as helping us here at St. John’s.

 

Our CMA supports these six ministries:

-          Catholic Charities and Catholic Social Services

-          St. Rita School for the Deaf

-          Chaplains for Hospitals and Prisons

-          Ministry Education for Seminarians, Deacons and Lay Parish Ministers

-          College Campus Ministries

-          Retired Archdiocesan Priests

 

These programs help thousands of people – Catholic and non-Catholic alike – on a daily basis.  Please click on some of the touching stories listed below to find out how the CMA touches the lives of others.  The CMA helps these ministries to do important work - and you can help to make sure that it keeps happening!

 

Every registered Catholic household will receive a mailing from the Archbishop containing a letter, brochure, intent card and reply envelope requesting their support for this year’s CMA.  This information will answer the questions you have regarding the CMA and the work of the Church.

 

As a parish, we are asked to join the Archbishop in supporting the Appeal with a pledge.  Every gift matters, so please make a pledge according to your means.   Our parish goal for this Appeal is $46,483.  Please help us to achieve our goal!  You can return your pledge in the envelope provided or drop it off at the parish office any time.  Thank you!
