One of the fun things at the festival is watching all of our kids have such a great time. It is really important to the Festival Committee that the children of our community have fun. Seeing them smile is one of the rewards of putting on the festival. What is one thing that always creates a smile on their faces? Nothing brings out a smile like a balloon animal or balloon hat. Of course, if you have seen the balloon animals and hats that the kids receive you would know that we are not doing them justice. These things are works of art. I prefer to call them balloon sculptures!
Now, the big question. How many Balloon Sculptures do we give out over the weekend of the festival? Now I admit that I can not give you an exact count. We are just too busy making them to count them as we give them out. I can, however, give you a good estimate. The answer is … approximately Seven Hundred and Fifty. Yes, you heard me correctly.
